Oct 7/06 - The Weg - Here are some pics from two recent rounds at Glen Abbey in Oakville, Ontario.
Glen Abbey was designed by Jack Nicklaus in 1976 for the Royal Canadian Golf Association. It was intended to serve as the more or less permanent home of the Canadian Open, and has in fact hosted that event many times since then. The last Open held at the Abbey was in 2004 when Vijay Singh narrowly won over Mike Weir.
Glen Abbey is now owned by Club Link and who continue to operate it as a public course. The property is also home to the Canadian Golf Hall of Fame and the RCGA headquarters.
