Here's an article about golf in Okinawa, Japan. Okinawa was the site of the last naval battle of the 2nd WW - a very famous and very bloody battle.

Today Okinawa has a half dozen course. This article mentions the one next to the military base - Banyan Tree - where US fighter jets regularly take off and land. Very cheap.
